I'm both a teacher and a softball coach, and the combo works perfectly for me. Honestly, I think I enjoy coaching even more than playing — something I never thought I’d say!

how "Do something Amazing" became "EPIC"
My mom and dad came to every game and practice. I couldn't get rid of them lol, but really the commitment everyone gave me empowered me to want to do my best. I admit after every (amazing play) I looked to see if they saw it, and I felt (Epic) because they did.

Kara started playing year round softball in 2008. Her calm and relaxed personality was a perfect fit for the pitching mound and she has loved it ever since. Her team was the first 9-10 all star team to go all the way to the State championship game.

VVAL All Stars - Firecracker Travel
At 13 Kara was invited to play with the Senior All Star team who went to the WorldSeries in 2012. The team was one game away from the World Series again for 2013. Kara pitched a shutout against Hawaii in the western regionals and played all around the USA with Firecracker travel team.

Hitting - .564 batting average, 32 RBIs, 13 Doubles, and only 2 strike outs with 87 plate appearances.
Pitching - 2.84 Pitching ERA, 77 strike outs
and just 13 walks against 264 batters.
Running - 9 stolen bases
Fielding - .976 Fielding Percentage
Kara won the All CIF Team Award for 2017

Kara was invited to pitch on the 18u team at the Colorado Sparkler.
